I very much enjoyed attending the Hinckley Carnival Queen Competion at Hinckley United last night and grabbing a few photographs whilst enjoying the evening with my hubby. In previous years the competition has been held at local night clubs, but this year Kev Whelan from Bar Vis-A-Vis, Hinckley (check out their facebook page here) decided to pull out all the stops to make it a more glamorous occasion – a black tie dinner, catwalk show and of course live music. It really was a great evening with lots of local businesses taking tables for the evening. The event raised almost £3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis trust and Hinckley Carnival fund. The event was sponsored by The Holiday Lounge Hinckley,who donated a weeks holiday to Cyprus for both the Carnival Queen and as a main prize for the Raffle. The new Carnival Queen for 2010 pictured below will also have a photo shoot with Artography worth over £200.00. Flowers were kindly donated by Yana at Tulips Creative Flower Shop Regent Street, Hinckley.
